Ghost Pizza Kitchen sits unassumingly on Edinger Avenue in Huntington Beach, offering a distinctly New York-style pizza experience that feels both familiar and thoughtfully adapted for the local crowd. This spot leans into traditional NY pizza flavors but also brings its own twists, such as a gluten-free potato crust option, allowing for a wider range of tastes and dietary needs.

The atmosphere here is casual and approachable, making it a comfortable choice for families, groups of friends, or anyone craving a solid, no-frills slice of pizza. The layout and vibe suggest a neighborhood favorite where you can drop in for a quick slice or settle in with a larger shareable pie. Despite the straightforward setup, the staff’s attentiveness and openness to accommodate timing or special requests — like keeping your order fresh for late pickups — add a considerate touch that resonates with many visitors.

While the menu centers around traditional New York pizza varieties — from the classic cheese to the Italian sausage and mushroom mix — it's clear that quality ingredients and preparation matter here. Vegan and gluten-free options show effort to be inclusive without compromising the punch of each pizza. Guests often appreciate the balance of crust texture and sauce richness, although some variations like heavily topped or vegan slices may vary in bake consistency.

Alongside pizzas, Ghost Pizza Kitchen offers a handful of fresh salads that can pair well to lighten a meal, featuring distinctive dressings and fresh ingredients like avocado, chickpeas, and kalamata olives. The beverage selection includes unique local sodas that enhance the experience for those wanting something beyond the usual fare.

This place tends to draw a broad range of customers—from Huntington Beach locals looking for a kid-friendly dinner spot to New Yorkers visiting or transplants craving an authentic slice in California. Evenings and weekends, especially around casual gatherings and parties, seem lively times when large orders come through, making it a reliable option for groups.

In essence, Ghost Pizza Kitchen offers a down-to-earth, locally embraced slice of New York with a Southern California twist. It’s best suited for anyone who appreciates a well-made pizza without the fuss, values friendly service, and enjoys a laid-back dining experience where you can either pop in for a quick bite or plan a pizza-focused night out.

As a NY native, I'm so glad I found this place! Everything was excellent. We tried the Ohana (Hawaiian), the Howdy (BBQ chicken), and the Pepperoni (which is my favorite pepperoni that curls up into little grease cups). The Stubborn soda is great, too. They also use a filtration system to make their water more like New York's. The service here was wonderful, too. Or was my first time and they already knew me by name. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I will definitely be back!

BEST PIZZA IN CALIFORNIA HANDS DOWN! Honestly amazing taste! The tomato sauce is made in heaven! Also they have the most incredible soda machine! The men are so friendly and really do the most to get you the best price and best option for what you order. You can walk in for slices they have ready made or order in/take out! Ps Chefs Special and Pepperoni Sicilian slices are to die for!! We ordered them to eat while waiting for our big 18inch pizza and loved it!

My friends and I had a large order of pizzas for a NYE party ~7 pizzas total. I can only speak for Mi Amore, a vegan option. The flavors were good surprisingly for a pizza with garbanzo beans. The leftovers hit the spot for that NYE hangover. We don't know if it was too many toppings, not enough baking time or not a high enough temp (or combo of all three) but the middle of the pizza was soggy, flimsy and couldn't hold its own. A sturdy and crispy crust that gives a nice crunch when you bite into it would have up leveled the pizza experience from a 4 to a 5. Also, we did order 7 pizzas so maybe it was too many orders? The employees were friendly & helpful. They carried the pizzas to my car for me in the drizzling rain. I would try it again and possibly build my own vegan pizza and get minimal toppings to see if the pizza crust will be any different. overally, i enjoyed my experience there and love the variety of vegan options. Definitely give them a try if you're in the area!

The kindness of the staff is worth trying this place. I was 30 minutes late due to my teenager drama and when I talked to them they were so willing to help my order stay fresh and even were willing to put it back in the oven mefollowing what I asked, they realized that it might damage my meal and not worth risking and waited to speak with me. I appreciated that they cared enough to pause and think it through for me, They were more than willing to do it but want me to know what might happen before making that call. So whomever was working 12/3/22 at 7:40-8:00pm you’re the MVP! We got the 18” loaded pepperoni and an order of garlic knots! If you like New York style, thin and greasy yum yum this pizza is for you! The knots were garlicky and doughy just the way I like them!

Great pizza! Was looking for a good NY style pizza, and this place came up. Was not disappointed. The craft soda from Stubborn brand was refreshing. The pizza was delicious! They use the New York watermaker to mimic their water and, although delicious, I couldn't tell the difference from other great tasting new york style pizzas here. The big chain pizza places do not measure up. The customer service was superb! The front counter was on it at all times, making sure we had what we needed. The pizza crew behind the counters were all friendly, social bunch. They informed me that they will have a liquor license soon, so pizza and beer combos are on the way! A great experience and very satisfied.
